Availability: In stock
The wine Malleolus is the flagship product of bodega Emilio Moro, a household name from DO Ribera del Duero.
This varietal Spanish red wine is made solely from Tempranillo grapes sourced from estate vineyards 25 to 75 years of age located in Pesquera de Duero.
As for the 2022 vintage, it was a "Very Good" one according to the DO Ribera del Duero regulatory board. When harvest time arrived, the grapes were fully ripen and in excellent sanitary condition.
Traditionally vinified, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was first macerated for 18 days in stainless steel tanks, after which it went through both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations.
After that, the wine Malleollus 2022 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for a period of 18 months.
An impeccable Crianza red wine, it is advisable to decant it 1 hour before drinking.
Pair with meat recipes.
Appearance | The red wine Malleolus is medium purple with a ruby rim. |

Nose | Oak is definitely noticeable, but it does not suffocate the wine in any way. We encounter typical Tempranillo aromas of forest berries and tree bark, with a pinch of herbs, a hint of clove, cardamom and cinnamon, and a deep mineral note. |
Palate | This wine from bodega Emilio Moro is lively, lush and surprisingly fresh. Mulberries and damson, with notes of forest floor and some earthy remembrances. Slightly rugged tannins, nice acidity and a long finish with some toasted and balsamic hints. This is classic Ribera at its best! |
