Details
The bearer of a family tradition that harks back to the XIIth century, the Martí Fabra winery, the producer of the wine Martí Fabra Selecció Vinyes Velles, embodies the very essence of the Empordà region.
This Spanish red wine is made from a blend of 55% Grenache and 25% Carignan, sourced from vines 50 to 80 years of age, complemented with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean garrigue, the vines grow in slate soils and are constantly swept a harsh northern wind called Tramuntana.
Meticulously harvested and separately vinified, the red wine Martí Fabra Selecció Vinyes Velles 2022 was aged for 9 months in underground concrete diposits and for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Impressively complex wine. Dark, mineral and powerful, similar to Priorats but with a drier note.

powerful but velvety wine, of a deep red colour and long taste on the palate, in which ripe fruit scents prevail.
