Cava Martínez Brut Nature Rosé
Availability: In stock
This Spanish sparkling wine not only has a funny-sounding name ("Martínez" is as common in Spanish as "Smith" or "Jones" is in English. Thus, Martínez Brut Nature Rosé sounds as refreshingly irreverent in Spanish as "Joe Jones Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Millesimé " would sound in English.)
Besides the pun, this rosé Cava by the Rimarts winery has some truly interesting features. It is crafted from a highly uncommon blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache.
Vinified in a traditional way, as the Cava DO prescribes, after a careful winemaking process the base rosé wine completed secondary fermentation in the bottle with no sugar added.
Afterwards, Martínez Brut Nature Rosé was aged between 9 and 15 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release.
Appearance | Martínez Brut Nature Rosé has a pale rosy colour with violet glints and dim steely tinges. |
---|---|
Nose | This Cava from Grenache and Pinot Noir is fresh, savoury and fruity, showing notes of red berries and black fruit, along with some herbal remembrances and sweet overtones. |
Palate | Martínez Rosé by the Rimarts winery is yummy, with refreshing notes of citrus, wild berries and some touches of spices. Good acidity and medium-long, fruity finish. |
Our personal opinion | Martínez Brut Nature Rosé is the perfect wine to pair with appetizers, tapas and light dishes. |
