The red wine Mineral del Montsant is made by bodega Cara Nord in DO Montsant.
A blend of the local varieties Grenache (34%), grown in limestone soils, and Carignan (66%), grown in soils of limestone and red clay, this Spanish red wine is sourced from a 3-hectare vineyard planted with 35 to 45 vines located in the Montsant mountain range, an area with a Mediterranean climate with some Continental elements.
After fermenting for 14 days under controlled temperature, this red wine from Montsant completed malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After that, it was aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.
The red wine Mineral del Montsant 2022 was kept for some months in the bottle before hitting the market.
Pair with BBQ’d meat and street food.
