Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016
Availability: In stock
Produced only in excellent vintages, the 2016 edition of the Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage certainly meets the high standards of the Moët et Chandon winery.
This top-notch vintage Champagne was crafted from the three classic grape varieties of the Champagne region: Pinot Noir (48%), Chardonnay (34%) and Pinot Meunier (18%).
After a meticulous vinification process, the champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016 completed secondary fermentation and was aged for a minimum of 72 months in the bottle. After being disgorged, it was aged for a minimum of 6 months before hitting the market.
Riper and more structured than usual, the Champagne Grand Vintage of Moët & Chandon is simply compelling.
Appearance | The Champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage is deep straw with some golden reflections. |
---|---|
Nose | Nutty and toasted aromatics that soon give way to sweet and fresh citric aromas, such as mandarin orange and grapefruit. A vegetal background intertwined with delicate menthol aromas. As this blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier opens we perceive new fragrant exotic fruit aromatics that are presented alongside jasmine and fine pastry notes. |
Palate | This vintage Champagne from Moët & Chandon enters the palate with great elegance. There are pleasant creamy notes, alongside warming sensations that support the very fine mousse of this sparkling wine. There is a persistent aftertaste of ripe white fruits with hints of liquorice. |
Our personal opinion | The fine champagne Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016 is perfect for a special occasion. |
