Champagne Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial
Availability: In stock
Since summer of '11, the great Champagne Maison Moët & Chandon invites us to enjoy the Ice Experience with Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial, the first Champagne ever conceived and crafted to be served over ice.
Made from a selection of the best Moët & Chandon wines, this fun, sexy summer wine is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, the great grape from Burgundy that brings structure and fruity flavours to this Champagne, 30%-40% of the sophisticated Pinot Meunier and a touch of Chardonnay, the world's most popular white grape. This blend is vinified following the traditional Champenoise method and aged for 36 to 48 months in the bottle.
Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial comes in a white bottle wearing a "black tie" and an elegant golden label. Looking at the package, it is easy to picture oneself indulging in glamorous summer parties at some wonderful beach in Côte d'Azur.
As it is designed to be served on the rocks, we recommend that you serve Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial in wide, shallow, bowl-shaped stemmed glasses.
Add a touch of French sophistication and flamboyance to your summer nights by drinking this irreverent French Champagne!
Drink until 2018.
Appearance | Intense, bright golden colour with golden tinges. |
---|---|
Nose | Exotic aromas of tropical fruit, mango, guava and passion fruit. Scents of nectarine, some touches of peach and hints of redcurrants and raspberries. A subtle liquorice background brings tremendous freshness to this Champagne. |
Palate | On the palate, Moët Chandon Ice Impérial displays elegance, joie de vivre and French chic. A panoply of fruits, with touches of quince and slight hints of pastry. Wonderful acidity, great freshness and a clean, seductive feeling in the mouth. One simply can't have enough of this Champagne. |
Our personal opinion | This Champagne will be the perfect drink for relaxed summer evenings, beach parties, meetings with friends and, with a little luck, romantic dates. It pairs beautifully with shrimp and duck appetizers such as Foie and Mi-Cuit. For those willing to try something new, drink it with some mint leaves, wild berries or even a dash of freshly grated ginger. |
