Details
Crafted by the Soto y Manrique winery, the wine Naranjas Azules Garnacha is a varietal Spanish rosé wine made solely from Grenache. An interesting feature of this wine is that it is a Blanc de Noirs.
Produced in the DOP Cebreros-Sierra de Gredos, at an altitude of 780 metres above sea level, the vines are over 50 years old.
Thus, after the harvest the grapes were crushed, put into concrete diposits and fermented without prior maceration with the grape skins. Since the wine juice and the skins were only in contact for a very short period of time, the winemaker was able to obtain a slightly coloured must from red grapes.
The fresh rosé wine Naranjas Azules Garnacha 2023 is totally comparable to some Provence rosés twice of thrice its price.
