Whisky Natterjack Cask Strength

The multi awarded whisky Natterjack Cast Strength is the second release of the young Gortinore distillery, a young project of four entrepreneurs that has already received both critical and public acclaim.

This Irish whiskey is the raw, undiluted variation of the brand’s first whisky. It is made from a blend of 20% barley and 80% corn spirits, distilled three times, matured for 3 years minimum in ex Bourbon barrels and finished in virgin American oak barrels. Bottled at 63 ABV, this cask strength whisky is best enjoyed with some drops of water in order to highlight its subtler organoleptic qualities.

Honey-coloured with some amber reflections, the whisky Natterjack Cask Strength is intense and expressive on the nose, showcasing white fruit and bone fruit (peach, apricot, apple and pear), combined with quince paste, sandalwood, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a hint of charred sugar. The palate of this blended whisky is smooth and intricate, with a warm and spicy layer punctuated by hints of sesameseed, fudge and candied orange rind, ending with a note fo Manuka honey and vanilla.
