This is the new vintage of Nona, the entry-level Spanish red wine of the La Conreria d'Scala Dei winery.

A blend of Grenache, Carignan, Merlot and Syrah, this vegan red wine is produced solely from estate vineyards 10 to 15 years old. They are planted on terraces and slopes near the villages of Scala Dei and La Morera, DOQ Priorat.

Each variety and individual parcel were separately harvested. Fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks for 2 months, Nona 2021 was subsequently aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.

Bottled unfiltered, this red wine from Priorat was aged for 6 months in the bottle before its commercial release.

Aerate this Crianza red wine some time before drinking.

Appearance	The red wine Nona is medium purple with a garnet rim.
Nose	Fresh, clean aromas of wild berries, with dim spicy notes and a background of flowers, toast and smoke. This blend of Grenache, Carignan, Merlot and Syrah has a lively nose.
Palate	Joyful, expansive and yummy, this wine from La Conreria d'Scala Dei has an excellent balance, a fresh acidity and some smooth tannins. Suggestions of Mediterranean forest, ripe fruit and a suave minerality. Long, pleasant finish.
Our personal opinion	An accessible and friendly Priorat, the yummy Nona 2021 is a good match for casseroles and cured meats.
