Red Wine Oráculo 2019
Crianza red wine from Ribera del Duero. Old-vines Tinta del País aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
Produced by three wine lovers under the brand Hammeken Cellars, the red wine Oráculo is made from old Tinta del País (aka Tempranillo) vineyards located in Ribera del Duero.
More specifically, this Spanish red wine was sourced from 80 to 120-year-old vines located near the village of Peñaranda de Duero, an area with an extreme Continental climate. They are grown at altitudes between 700 and 950 metres above sea level.
Harvested by hand during the first half of October, the grapes were destemmed, gently pressed and cold-macerated for 3 days. Then they fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts for 15 days.
After that, Oráculo 2019 was transferred into new, 500-litre French oak barrels, where it was aged for 18 months.
Decant this Crianza red wine from Ribera del Duero at least 1 hour before drinking.

Nose | Well-balanced, this Tinta del País from Ribera del Duero shows a wonderfully mature aromatic profile, exhibiting a seamless integration of some expressive, pure notes of black fruit - blueberries, bilberries and blackberries - with some hints of moka, cocoa, cigars and Moroccan leather, alongside some earthy, toasted and mineral overtones. |
Palate | Savoury, intense and velvety, smoothed by the years and slowly reaching its peak, Oráculo from Hammeken Cellars showcases fruit of the highest quality, toasted and gently smokey, underpinned by a mineral and earthy character that points to an exceptional terroir. Super fresh, with a crisp acidity and some mild tannins, the wine has a very long, moreish finish. |
Our personal opinion | Produced by a passionate and skilfull team, Oráculo 2019 is a top-notch Ribera. |
