The DO Cava producer Oriol Rossell presents the wine Oriol Rossell Ariadna Gran Reserva Brut Nature. Interestingly, this Spanish sparkling wine is made from Penedès’ most important white variety and the world’s most appreciated red grape.
This Gran Reserva Cava from Penedès is an equal blend of Xarel·lo, sourced from a vinyeard with calcareous and clayey soils planted in 1974, and Pinot Noir, vinified as Blanc de Noirs and sourced from a vineyard with limey soils.
After hand-picking and meticulously selecting the grapes, this Brut Nature Cava underwent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, after which the Xarel·lo base wine was aged on lees for 4 months. Then the Cava Oriol Rossell Ariadna Gran Reserva Brut Nature 2017 was aged for 42+ months before being clarified.
