Details
One of the best-known reds from Ribera del Duero, the wine Pago de los Capellanes Crianza is made by bodega Pago de los Capellanes.
This expressive Spanish red wine is sourced from Tempranillo vines 35 years old on average, located in the villages of Pedrosa del Duero, La Horra and Gumiel de Mercado, at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
Meticulously harvested, the grapes were selected on site. Once in the cellar, they were fermented with indigenous yeasts with daily pump-overs and punch-downs.
After a period of about a month, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was drawn off before going through malolactic fermentation.
Finally, the wine Pago de los Capellanes Crianza 2022 was aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.
