Red Wine Pago Florentino 2020
Availability: In stock
Made by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro, the new vintage of the red wine Pago Florentino comes with a brand new packaging and an organic certification.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from a single vineyard, "La Solana", located in the province of Ciudad Real. The vines are planted on slopes composed of clay soils with a ohigh capacity for retaining water, a fact that helps to avoid an excessive hydric stress of the plants.
Made from Cencibel (the local strand of Tempranillo), the grapes are sourced from vineyards located in the DOP Pago Florentino, an area within the Vinos de Pago de Castilla-La Mancha region.
After a careful selection process, the bunches were destemmed and cold-soaked for 3 days in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. After finishing alcoholic fermentation, this Crianza red wine was racked into French and American oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months.
To preserve its distinctive character, the red winePago Florentino 2020 was bottled without being filtered or clarified.
Pair with red meat recipes or, if you feel adventurous, with dark bitter chocolate.

Nose | This varietal Cencibel carries intense suggestions of sweet spices, blueberries, blackcurrants, toasted oak and roasted coffee. As this single vineyard wine opens, it conveys some mineral and herbal notes. |
Palate | Nicely crafted by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro, the wine has a meaty texture and an intense passage through the palate. Expressive notes of black fruit and graphite, along with ripe and round tannins with a fresh acidity. This red wine from Castilla-La Mancha has a long, creamy aftertaste. |
Our personal opinion | The savoury Pago Florentino 2020 is a truly nice value which pais wonderfully with BBQs and roasted meats. |
