A branch of the J&C Prime Brands group, owned by the Juvé family of bodega Juvé y Camps, bodega Pagos de Anguix is the producer of the wine Pagos de Anguix Barrueco, a varietal Tinto Fino, or Tempranillo, from DO Ribera del Duero.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from 20 to 30-year-old vines grown in soils composed of rocks, sand and limestone at 850 metres of altitude. It is worth mentioning that, according to the winery, 2019 was a "fabulous" vintage.
Traditionally vinified, the grapes were macerated and fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that, this Crianza red wine was transferred into fine-grained French (85%) and American (15%) oak barrels.
After that, the wine Pagos de Anguix Barrueco 2019 was aged for a period of 16 months. Finally, it was aged for a further period of time in the bottle before hitting the market.
Pair with hearty recipes.
Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero 30 minutes before drinking.
