Red Wine Palacio Quemado La Zarcita 2018
Availability: In stock
A terroir-oriented Spanish red wine, since the 2015 vintage Palacio Quemado La Zarcita bears the label "Vino de Pago" (single vineyard wine).
Produced by the Palacio Quemado winery, it is made from vines farmed following sustainable procedures. They are located in the southern Spanish region of Extremadura, in an area within the DO Ribera del Guadiana.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Syrah, the grapes were separately harvested and vinified. After that, 75% of this red wine from Ribera del Guadiana was aged for 8 months in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels. The rest was aged in concrete tanks. Then Palacio Quemado La Zarcita 2018 was blended and further aged before its release.
30,000 bottles produced.
Appearance | The red wine Palacio Quemado La Zarcita has a dark, bright, clean cherry colour with some violet tinges and a garnet rim. |

Nose | This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Syrah has a medium intensity and an excellent balance. Fresh aromas of mulberries and strawberries, with some lactic nuances and hints of spices, violets and wild herbs. |
Palate | Meaty and savoury, this wine from Palacio Quemado suggests some earthy notions, a touch of red berries and some toasted remembrances. Well-balanced acidity and lively tannins. Long finish with some remembrances of red and black fruit. |
Our personal opinion | Easy-to-drink but not at all trivial, Palacio Quemado La Zarcita 2018 is a pleasant wine produced in little-known Extremadura. Pair with meat dishes. |
