Red Wine Parada de Atauta 2021
Availability: In stock
The prestigious Dominio de Atauta winery presents the new vintage of the wine Parada de Atauta.
A textbook Ribera del Duero, this Spanish red wine is made from Tinto Fino vines 90 years old on average, planted in sandy and pebblestone soils at an altitude around 1,000 metres above sea level.
The grapes were picked by hand, destemmed and then cold-soaked and fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks. The malolactic fermentation of this Crianza red wine took place in concrete tanks.
After that, the wine Parada de Atauta 2021 was aged in 20% new French oak barrels for 12 months. After that, this Crianza red wine was aged for another 5 months in concrete diposits before being bottled in September 2023.
We suggest that you decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero for 30 minutes before you drink it.

Appearance | The red wine Parada de Atauta is medium purple with some burgundy reflections and a violet rim. |

Nose | Suggestions of red and black fruit, with subtle wooden notes and some spicy remembrances. Deep and terroir-oriented, this old-vines Tinto Fino also exhibits some hints of coffee, cocoa, tobacco and balsam. |
Palate | The 2021 vintage was an excellent one, which clearly shows here. This wine from Dominio de Atauta is lively, fresh and transparent, with high-quality tannins, red fruit of great purity and a long, complex finish with hints of herbs, wet earth and smoke. |
Our personal opinion | The wine Parada de Atauta 2021 will pair beautifully with a hearty lamb stew. |
