Coming in a fancy bottle, the Cava Pere Ventura Vintage Gran Reserva Brut is a sophisticated Spanish sparkling wine made from a blend of old-vines Xarel·lo and Chardonnay.
Produced by bodega Pere Ventura, the grapes of this Cava are sourced from organically certified vineyards with limestone soils planted at 220 metres of altitude.
Each variety was separately fermented with native yeasts at a controlled temperature of 15ºC in stainless steel tanks. Then this Cava from Penedès was blended, clarified and gently filtered.
After completing secondary fermentation in the bottle, the Cava Pere Ventura Vintage Gran Reserva Brut 2017 was aged for 43 minimum before being disgorged.
This food-friendly Cava brut gran reserva will make an excellent pairing with shrimp, white meat, creamy cheeses and risottos.

Palate | This cava of bodega Pere Ventura is textured and classy, with some bready and leesy notes, a hint of honey and some creamy flavours of patisserie balanced by a lively, citrusy acidity. Extremely pleasing, with smooth bubbles and a gently bitter finish. |
Our personal opinion | The limited production Cava Pere Ventura Vintage Gran Reserva Brut 2017 is a worthy alternative to medium-priced Champagne. |
