Details
A single parcel wine, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco is made from vines grown in sandy-clayey soils in the heart of L'Empordà. The area is constantly lashed by a relentless northern wind called Tramuntana, which keeps the vines healthy and helps the grapes to achieve a high concentration of flavours.
The 2021 vintage of this Spanish white wine from Castillo de Perelada is made solely from Chardonnay.
The grapes were hand-picked and, most interestingly, fermented in new acacia barrels at a temperature of 15ºC.
Once the process was completed, Perelada Finca La Garriga Blanco 2021 was aged for 6 months in the barrels with periodic stirrings.
This varietal white wine from L'Empordà is characterful and versatile.
