Details
First released in 1996 and made only in exceptional vintages, the wine Pesquera Millenium Gran Reserva of bodega Tinto Pesquera is one of the modern icons of DO Ribera del Duero.
This high-end Spanish red wine is sourced from a single parcel, Viña Alta, planted at 800 metres above sea level in the village of Pesquera de Duero. The soils are composed of cobble stones, gravel and sand. The climate is extremely demanding, with frigid winters and dry, scorching summers. Textbook conditions, in short, for producing top-quality grapes.
After a meticulous harvest and an exacting selection of the fruit, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was vinified with the utmost care. After that, the red wine Pesquera Millenium Gran Reserva 2018 was aged for 26 months in French oak barrels.
Once bottled, this Gran Reserva red wine was kept for some years in the cellar before its commercial release.
