Made by bodega Protos, the red Protos Carroa homages the paths of Ribera del Duero, that have connected people and places since time immemorial.
This wine is sourced from 50+-year-old vines, planted in several parcels with different soil compositions and microclimates across the province of Burgos, DO Ribera del Duero.
The hand-picked grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, this Spanish red wine went through the malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, where it was subsequently aged for 16 months.
Finally, the red wine Protos Carroa 2021 spent a further 8 months in 12,500-litre French oak vats and for a brief period of time in concrete eggs.
Decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking.
