Details
This is the new vintage of Rebels de Batea Negre, produced by winemakers Enric Ginesta and Manel Montserrat, vineyard manager of Torres in the Terra Alta region, through the 7 Magnífics brand.
Made solely from Grenache grapes, this Spanish red wine comes from the southern Catalonian region of Terra Alta, an area with a harsh climate and very poor soils which give the wine an intense and also fresh character.
After being traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, 20% of this red wine from Terra Alta was aged in new and used French oak barrels for 3 months.
Once the process was completed, Rebels de Batea Negre 2021 was bottled and put to rest for some months before hitting the market.
A side project of bodega Torres, this varietal young red wine aged in barrels will make an excellent pairing with meat recipes.
