Red Wine Rejón 2020
Availability: In stock
This is the new vintage of the wine Rejón, produced by Bodegas Tridente, a brand of Juan Gil Family Estates
A varietal Tempranillo, this exceptional Spanish red wine is sourced form a single vineyard planted with low-yielding vines over 130 years of age. The plot is located in El Pego, a village in the Toro region within the VT Castilla y León designation.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine Rejón 2020 completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for a period of 20 months in those same barrels.
The production of this Reserva red wine is very limited.
This varietal red wine from Castilla y León has a remarkable ageing potential.
Because of its depth and concentration, it is essential to decant this vegan certified wine a minimum of 2 hours before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Rejón is deep purple with a garnet rim. |

Nose | The nose of this old-vines Tempranillo has a mindboggling intensity, showing very pure notions of red and black fruit, alongside notes of spices and balsam, and suggestive hints of earth, black truffles, tree bark, underbrush, blue flowers and some deep mineral nuances. |
Palate | Bold and deep, this wine from Bodegas Tridente (a branch of Juan Gil Family Estates) is nonetheless neither overpowering or bombastic. Blackcurrants, undergrowth, liquorice, lavender, balsam, flowers, a panoply of Eastern spices and a mighty mineral background. Smooth texture, tense acidity, remarkable tannic structure and an endless mineral finish. |
Our personal opinion | The outstanding wine Rejón 2020 will make a perfect pairing with hearty meat dishes. |
