Produced by bodega Costers del Priorat, Rocafosca is a blended Spanish red wine made from a traditional blend Grenache and Carignan.
The grapes are sourced from two vineyards composed of the typical llicorella (slate) soils of DOQ Priorat and planted with differently aged vines: Mas Alsera, in Torroja del Priorat, in the central area of the region, and Sant Martí, in Bellmunt, in the hotter southern area.
Hand-picked and selected, the grapes were fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and concrete diposits.
After completing both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, this red wine from Priorat was blended and transferred into a 3,000-litre Slavonian oak vats and clay amphorae.
Then the red wine Rocafosca 2020 was aged for 12 months. Once bottled, it was further aged for some time.
Pair this Crianza red wine with BBQ'd meat, pasta al ragù and cured cheeses.

Palate | This wine of Costers del Priorat is lively and balanced, with good tension and not a trace of overextraction. Wet slate, Mediterranean herbs and mulberries, with polished tannins and a medium-long, mineral finish with a floral hint. |
