Ron Appleton VX was produced by Appleton Estate distillery in Jamaica from a complex blend of 15 premium rums aged for 5 years in American oak barrels previously used to age Bourbon.
This Jamaica rum is widely used in cocktail preparations by the world's top mixologists because of its smoothness and richness of flavours.
Ron Appleton VX has a nice, old gold-colour with some copper-coloured tinges. On the nose, it shows subtle notes of brown sugar, dry fruit, orange rind and a spicy touch. The palate is refined, mild and very long. It suggests notions of toasted honey, burnt sugar and freshly-baked bread.
