The entry-level product of Celler Sanmartí, the wine Saltamarges is made solely from Grenache.
Sourced from vineyards located in DO Pla de Bages, the grapes were hand picked, selected on site, refrigerated on arriving at the cellar, destemmed and selected again.
Then they were fermented in tiled diposits, after which this red wine from Pla de Bages was macerated for 15 days with the skins of some late-harvested grapes in order to bring more body and colour to the wine.
Finally, the wine Saltamarges 2021 was clarified, stabilized and gently filtered.

Nose | Fruit-driven and youthful, the fermentation in tiled tanks certainly imparts a distinctive character to this varietal Grenache. Cherries and strawberries, with a note of licorice, forest floor and fruit punch. |
Palate | Ripe and yummy, with smooth tannins and a balanced acidity. This wine from Celler Sanmartí is gently warm, with a long finish reminiscent of bitter herbs and raspberry jam. |
