Red wine from Somontano. Varietal Parraleta (native grape) aged for 5 months in American oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
The red wine Sers Singular Parraleta is solely made from Parraleta, a long-forgotten indigenous grape from Somontano, an ancient wine region located in the northern Spanish province of Aragón.
Produced by Bodegas Sers, this varietal Spanish red wine is made from vines grown in the "La Morera" vineyard, at an altitude of 300 metres above sea level, in the pre-pyrenaic town of Cofita, Huesca.
The grapes were harvested during the second week of September. After a careful vinification process, the wine Sers Singular Parraleta 2023 was aged for 5 months in new American oak barrels.
Finally, this red wine from Somontano was mildly filtered before bottling, so we recommend that you decant it to remove any sediment.
Appearance | This red wine Sers Singular Parraleta is medium ruby with some violet tinges. |

Nose | Extremely fresh, this varietal Parraleta suggests a note of juicy red fruit and flowers over a mineral background with a distinctively metallic remembrance, typical of the variety. Oak is very well integrated and it only shows in some subtle hints of vanilla, toast and cocoa |
Palate | Fresh and light-bodied. On the palate, the wine carries some mineral notes, an enchanting bouquet of flowers and, again, some touches of cocoa and vanilla. Texture is smooth, with well-rounded tannins and a delicate, yet tense acidity. This red wine from Bodegas Sers has a long finish with a lingering, spicy aftertaste. |
Our personal opinion | The red wine Sers Singular Parraleta 2023 is definitely worthy trying. |
