Details
The wine Tanuki Bob - named after the Japanese raccoon dog, a symbol of good fortune and prosperity in the land of the rising sun - is the result of the collaboration between the 4 Kilos winery, one of Majorca’s best producers, and Amadip Esment Fundació, dedicated to improving the quality of life of differently abled people.
This blended Spanisn red wine is made from the local variety Manto Negro and 10% Syrah, sourced from certified organic vineyards grown in “call vermell” soils, which are rich in ferrous oxide. The grapes were hand-picked and vinified in 4,000-ltre French oak foudres, with a 3-week maceration. After that, this Crianza red wine from DO Vino de la Tierra de Mallorca was aged for 9 months in the foudres.
Then the red wine Tanuki Bob 2021 was kept in stainless steel tanks for about 6 months. Finally, this organic red wine from Mallorca was aged for 6 months minimum in the bottle before hitting the market.
