Details
Produced by Terroir al Límit, the wine Terroir al Límit Les Manyes is the only Hairy Grenache wine of this prestigious winery from the DOQ Priorat owned by German-born Dominik Huber.
This varietal Spanish red wine is made from a scarce hectare of vines around 60 years of age, called Les Manyes, situated on a steep slope with clay, quartz and limestone soils, at an altitude around 700 metres above sea level. The winery follows the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
After a meticulous harvest, the undestemmed grapes underwent a very light maceration, aimed at infusing them with gentle aromas, rather than extracting tannin or solid components. After completing alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts in vats, the malolactic fermentation of this red wine from Priorat took place in concrete eggs.
After that, the red wine Terroir al Límit Les Manyes 2021 was aged for 15 months in those recipients. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Decant this Crianza red wine at least 2 hours before drinking.

Incomparable
One of the best three wines of my life - this from somebody who knows Ch. Rayas, a lot of Burgundy and virtually all great Bordeaux reds.
