The fascinanting white wine Terroir al Límit Pedra de Guix is produced by the Terroir al Límit winery, one of the most prestigious, and definitely the most daring of all wine producers of DOQ Priorat.
This blended Spanish white wine is made from the three main white varieties grown in the Priorat region: Pedro Ximénez, Macabeo and White Grenache. The grapes are sourced from vineyards with alluvial and slate soils, which were hand-picked and carefully selected.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were whole bunch pressed in an extremely gentle manner. Then this white wine from Priorat was fermented and kept for 8 months in concrete diposits. The Pedro Ximénez variety was separately aged and went through a controlled oxidation process.
In order not to thwart terroir expression, the white wine Terroir al Límit Pedra de Guix 2021 was not aged in barrels. (It is worth mentioning that none of Terroir al Límit’s wines has been vinified or aged in any sort of wood diposit since 2021.)
We suggest aerating this Crianza white wine before drinking.

Palate | Fresh and linear, this wine of Terroir al Límit winery is richly textured, supple and full of controlled energy. Ever more expressive as it gets exposed to air, with notes of beeswax, salted butter and flint, ending with a compelling note of petrol and white flowers. |
