Whisky The Balvenie Double Wood 12 Years
Availability: In stock
Elegant, warming, and unique, The Balvenie Double Wood 12 Years gained its unique character from aging in two types of wood. The first aging process, which went on for 12 years, was in ex-Bourbon wooden barrels. After that, the whisky was finished in ex-Sherry casks from Jerez for 9 months.
The first barrels give this Scotch Whiskey its smoothness, and the second barrels give this Single Malt from The Balvenie distillery a great complexity with a wide range of flavours.
This Whiskey is mahogany coloured. The nose is complex and ever-evolving, with nutty notes (hazelnut, walnut), honey, and creamy spices. The palate of The Balvenie 12 is lush and round, with a smooth passage that is sweet and pleasant.
Medium-sweet, powerful, and warming, The Balvenie Double Wood 12 Years carries seductive honey and cream notes along friendly spices.
The finish of this Whisky from Scotland is very pleasant, subtle and long.
