Produced by bodega Finca Torremilanos, the first Demeter-certified winery in DO Ribera del Duero, the wine Torre Albéniz Reserva is made from old vines that are 80 years old on average.
Made essentially from Tempranillo, this red wine from Ribera del Duero is nuanced with a dollop (5%) of other varieties.
The grapes are solely sourced from Finca Torremilanos, an impressive 200-hectare biodynamically farmed estate.
Hand-picked and carefully selected, the grapes were fermented for 2 weeks in stainless steel tanks. After that, this organic and biodynamic red wine was transferred into 225-litre French oak barrels.
Then the red wine Torre Albéniz Reserva 2019 went through malolactic fermentation and was aged for 25 months.
Finally, this reserva red wine was bottled and aged for a further months before hitting the market.
It is important to decant this Spanish red wine 1 hour before drinking.
