The Cava Torre Galimany Brut Nature Gran Reserva holds a special place in the catalogue of bodega Heredad Segura Viudas.
First, this Spanish sparkling wine is made basically from 35 to 75-year-old Xarel·lo vines, complemented with a small amounts of the traditional varieties Macabeo and Parellada.
The Xarel·lo wine was vinified and aged for 5 months in oak barrels, and the rest in stainless steel tanks, all with wild yeasts.
After a traditional vinification, Torre Galimany Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2016 was aged for a minimum of 30 months in the cellar. It was added no shipping liquor after being disgorged.
Creamy and smooth, this Cava Gran Reserva Brut Nature will be the perfect accompaniment of a multi course meal.

Nose | Fragrant and elegant, this blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeo and Parellada suggests notions of toast, dry fruit and spices, underpinned by aromas of ripe white fruit, dry fruit, quince jelly, white flowers, citrus and pastry. |
Palate | This Cava from Heredad Segura Viudas has a silky body and a refreshing acidity. Bubbles are nice and creamy, and we enjoy some delicate notes of almonds, flowers, toast, ripe white fruit and coco. Long, complex finish. |
Our personal opinion | The excellent Torre Galimany Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2016 is an elegant and amazingly priced sparkler from Penedès. |
