Red Wine Tourán Garnacha 2018
Crianza red wine from Campo de Borja. Varietal Grenache aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
One of the absolute best varietal Grenache wines produced in Aragón, Tourán Garnacha is the top-of-the-range product of Bodegas Morca. The company belongs to Grupo Orowines, a branch of Gil Family Estates.
The grapes were sourced from low-yielding, 30 to 50-year old vines grown on the hills of the Moncayo mountain range, a limestone-rich area in DO Campo de Borja.
Picked by hand, the grapes were traditionally vinified. Each plot was individually fermented in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation of this Spanish red wine was carried out in French oak barrels.
After that, Tourán Garnacha 2018 was aged for 15 months in the barrels. Finally, it was aged for a further months in the bottle before hitting the market.
Pair this limited production Crianza red wine with game dishes and hearty stew recipes.
Decant this red wine from Campo de Borja at least 1 hour before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Tourán Garnacha is deep ruby with a purplish rim. |

Nose | This varietal Grenache is subtle, profound and ever-evolving. There is a clear terroir imprint, with deep earthy notes and a matchstick remembrance, intertwined with all types of red berries, some toasted and spicy notes, and a smoky hint. |
Palate | Smooth and information-rich, this wine from Bodegas Morca has an impressive definition and a sort of collected energy. Fantastic acidity, with tamed tannins and a very long, impressively minerl finish with a berryish twist. |
Our personal opinion | A magnificent Grenache, Tourán Garnacha 2018 combines drinkability and depth in a most successful way. |
