Coming from DO Ribera del Duero, Trus Punto Geodésico is a curiously named Spanish red wine produced by Bodega Trus.
It is sourced from Tempranillo vineyards located in several geodesic points across the Burgos province. The vineyards have soils composed of sand, clay-limestone and lime. Aged 25 to 60, they are at altitudes between 880 and 950 metres.
Traditionally vinified, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was fermented at a temperature of 24º-26ºC in stainless steel tanks with a daily pump-over. Malolactic fermentation took place in 500-litre French oak barrels and concrete diposits.
After that, the red wine Trus Punto Geodésico 2019 was aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels.
Finally, this Crianza red wine naturally stabilized in concrete diposits before being gently filtered and bottled.
Pair with sauteed vegetables, roast beef or a nice venison stew.
