Produced by Finca Viladellops, the red wine Turó de Les Abelles is, for the first time, made solely from Grenache.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from over 25-year-old, organically farmed vines planted in the calcareous, fossil-rich soils of the Garraf Massif, a subzone of DO Penedès with a highly distinctive personality.
Picked by hand and transported to the cellar into 15 kg. boxes, after two selection processes the grapes were cold-macerated in open vats at a controlled temperature, after which the wine completed alcoholic fermentation.
Then the red wine Turó de les Abelles 2022 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. After blending the best samples, the wine was bottled and stacked for a further 12 months in the cellar before being released.

Red wine
Sen-sa-tio-nal wine. Pure, enticing and deeply mineral, this must grow in a first-class terroir to be this good.
