The vermouth Vermut de Falset Blanc by the Agrícola Falset-Marçà coop has been produced with the same formula since 1912.
The base wine of this Spanish white vermouth is made from a blend of the local grape varieties White Grenache and Macabeo (vinified with the skins to produce a deeply coloured base wine). After being macerated in 500-litre wooden barrels with a selection of 120 aromatic plants, this white vermouth from Tarragona was added sugar and wine alcohol up to 16.5% ABV. Before hitting the market, this white vermouth was aged for 2 years minimum in big wooden vats over 100 years old.
Amber-coloured with some mahoganny reflections, the nose of the vermouth Vermut de Falset Blanc carries aromatic herbs and spices, with hints of eucaliptus, Havanna cigars, honey and resin. The palate compensates the sweet element with a bitter note and a lively acidity, ending with a spicy and balsamic note.
