Details
This is the new vintage of the wine Viladellops Garnatxa, a young and crunchy Spanish red wine produced in the Garraf Massif, a subzone of DO Penedès.
A varietal Grenache, it is made from old and young vines grown in plots overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The terroir is defined by a distinctively mineral, calcareous soil, and by the influence of the sea breeze.
Picked by hand, the grapes were selected twice and then fermented in steel tanks. Then this organic red wine was blended and shortly aged in diposits.
Before bottling, the wine Viladellops Garnatxa 2023 from Finca Viladellops, was clarified and stabilized.

This is crunchy and mineral, the red fruit being underscored by a note of white, limestone, flintstone-like minerality. A bargain.
