White Wine Viña Meín 2018
Availability: Out of stock
This is the new vintage of Viña Meín, produced by Viña Mein.
Made mostly from Treixadura, this Spanish white wine is complemented with tiny amounts of Godello, Loureira, Albariño, Torrontés and Lado.
All of them are grown in gentle slopes with soils composed of rocks and gravel in the Galician towns of San Clodio and Gomariz, belonging to the DO Ribeiro.
The grapes of this white wine from Ribeiro were carefully selected, destemmed and cold-macerated before undergoing alcoholic fermentation. The, they were fermented in stainless steel tanks (88%) and concrete tanks (2%). The remaining 10% was fermented in 600-litre French oak barrels, and 1,200 oak vats.
After that, Viña Meín 2018 was aged for 10 months on its lees.
Appearance | The wine Viña Meín has a clean, bright yellow colour with some greenish tinges. |

Nose | This characterful white wine from Ribeiro smells of ripe white fruit and bone fruit, with delicate nuances of aniseed and fennel, dim mineral undertones and some hints of citrus and white flowers. A rich aromatic profile, resulting from the blend of Treixadura, Godello, Albariño, Loureira, Torrontés and Lado. |
Palate | This wine of the Viña Meín winery is fresh, gently unctuous and remarkably complex. Great acidity, with remembrances of citrus, aromatic herbs and tropical fruit. There is also a bitter note and some vegetal nuances. This white wine aged on lees has a long, yummy finish. |
Our personal opinion | Salty, fresh and Atlantic, Viña Meín 2018 pairs excellently with seafood, Japanese food and, if you feel adventurous, soft cheeses. |
