Appearance

The rosé wine Viña Tondonia Rosado Gran Reserva is pale salmon with some onion skin coloured reflections.

Nose

The opposite of a show-off, this blend of Grenache, Viura and Tempranillo conveys its gobsmacking richness and complexity in the most suave and self-assured manner. Blood orange, bitter herbs and pink grapefruit, with dried orange blossom, apricot peel, anise, clove and curry, underpinned by notes of wet stone and some metallic and earthy remembrances.

Palate

Elegant, layered and amazingly pure, this rosé wine of López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia has all the qualities associated with maturity, but none of its shortcomings. Vibrant and focused, with a saline-mineral texture, amazing acidity and a slowly unfurling complexity, ending with a beautiful tertiary note in which all nuances come together in the most harmonious and endearing way.
