Red Wine Viridiana 2021
Availability: In stock
The entry-level Spanish red wine from bodega Dominio de Atauta, Viridiana is intended for aficionados that, while appreciating the qualities of Crianza and Reserva wines, also like to enjoy a light-hearted red, specially in the summer.
A varietal Tempranillo from DO Ribera del Duero, the grapes are sourced from 20 to 30-year-old vineyards with soils composed of clay, limestone and sand.
Traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature, Viridiana 2021 was subsequently aged for 3 months in new French oak barrels.
This varietal red wine from Ribera del Duero is a great match for BBQ'd meat, tapas and finger food.
Appearance | The red wine Viridiana is low purple with a violet rim. |
---|---|
Nose | Loads of mulberries, cassis and red berries, with a pinch of vanilla, cedar and bitter herbs. This Tempranillo has an excellent definition. |
Palate | Fresh and slightly tart, with ripe fruit, bitter herbs, a dash of spices and an agile mid palate. This wine of bodega Dominio de Atauta has slim tannins and a fruit-driven, succulent finish. |
Our personal opinion | The cheerful Viridiana 2021 is great for sipping al fresco. In the summer, serve slightly chilled. |
