Atlantic Galician Spirits

Atlantic Galician Spirits

Spirit producer championing Galician ingredients.

The Atlantic Galician Spirits distillery was founded in 2012 by sommelier Xoan Torres Cannas, winner of the 2004 Nariz de Oro award, Juan Luis Méndez and José Ángel Albela. Their original aim was to create a 100% Galician gin made from locally sourced ingredients, and thus was born Ginebra Nordés, which soon became one of Spain’s best-selling gins and was quickly recognized with numerous national and international awards.

The initial success encouraged the Atlantic Galician Spirits to think bigger and expand its product portfolio. After Nordés Gin, the company released Nordés Vodka, a Polish-style vodka made from Galician potato, and the vermouths Nordesía Branco and Nordesía Roxoi, made from, respectively, a base wine of Albariño and Mencía. The core range also includes the vermouths Peregrino Blanco and Peregrino Rojo, both produced from a base wine of the Galician white variety Godello.
