Traditional distillery in the Lowlands, Scotland.

Situated within sight of world-famous Kingsbarns Golf Course in St. Andrews, Lowlands, the Kingsbarns distillery was founded in 2009 by ex-caddy Douglas Clement. His aim was to transform an old farm into a working distillery and visitor centre.

In 2013, Mr. Clement sold the company to the Wemyss family, but he remained chairman of the board. In 2017, he left the company for good.

Distilled in copper stills, all of the Kingsbarns whiskies are matured in ex- Bourbon barrels and in STR barrels (meaning shaved, toasted and re-charred). Aged for 3 years in barrels, Kingsbarns Dream to Dram Single Malt is the best-known Scotch whisky of the company.
