Pulteney

Pulteney

Pulteney distillery is one of Scotland's northernmost disitlleries.

Founded in 1826 in the town of Wick, the most north-easterly town on the UK and once Europe's largest herring port, the Pulteney distillery was named after Sir William Pulteney.

One of Scotland’s northernmost distilleries, the whiskies of Pulteney reflect the site’s proximity to the North Sea, which gives the so-called “maritime malt” a truly unique character.

The whisky the distillery is best known for is Old Pulteney Single Malt, which is presented in 5 bottlings matured for 12, 15, 16, 18 and 25 years. This is a characterful whisky with a deeply saline core.
