Volcán de mi Tierra

The young distillery Volcán de mi Tierra was founded in 2017 by the French group LVMH, the world’s biggest luxury conglomerate, and the Gallardo family from Mexico, with the aim of producing an artisan premium tequila according to the highest standards of quality.

Born in the lowlands and highlands of the Jalisco area, called Valles and Altos, the tequila Volcán de mi Tierra is named after a nearby volcano whose eruption 200,000 years ago covered the area with a layer of volcanic ash rich in iron and basalt. This type of mineral soil, together with the particular microclimate of the region, is the reason why the Jalisco area is the best place in the world to grow the finicky blue agave plants, from which the very best tequila is produced.

The tequila Volcán de mi Tierra is produced blending the flavours of the highlands and lowlands blue agave with the aim of creating a one-of-a-kind drinking experience for tequila lovers around the world. Supervised by master distiller Tomás Pérez, the meticulous producing process uses mampostery ovens to cook the agave piñas, which are then slowly fermented in wood tanks to develop the amazing richness of flavour that defines the Volcán de mi Tierra tequila.
