Founded in 2002, Bodega Sameirás is the personal project of the colleteiro Antonio Cajide Gulín in DO Ribeiro.

A project that looks towards the past to inspire the future, Adega Sameirás has 6 hectares of vineyards in the Ourense province, divided into 7 parcels with of soils of schist, sand and granite. Planted at 95 to 290 metres above sea level, the 25 to 80-year-old vineyards are tended with environmentally sustainable techniques, fertilizing the soils with organic manure and using no insecticides or pesticides.

Committed to the promotion of the the rich viticultural heritage of Galicia, the Adega Sameirás winery grows only Galician native varieties, both white and red. As regards white varieties, Treixadura is the most planted one, followed by Albariño, Godello, Lado, Loureira, Caíño Blanco and Torrontés. The main red variety is Sousón, followed by Caíño Tinto, Brancellao, Mencía and a bunch of little-known varieties, such as Carabuñeira, Castañal, Araúxa and Ferrón.

While honouring the winemaking legacy of the Ribeiro area, the wines of Adega Sameirás are crafted with state-of-the-art winemaking technology and a meticulous attention to detail. The wine portfolio of Bodega Sameirás comprises white and red wines, all made from a blend of grape vareities, which are typically vinified in stainless steel tanks and usually bottled unoaked. These are fresh, impeccably made wines, charmingly traditional and definitely Atlantic in character.
