Artadi

Artadi

One of the great Spanish wineries, Artadi produces first-rate Tempranillo wines in the Rioja Alavesa.

Based in La Rioja, the Artadi winery is one of Spain's most prestigious wineries. Bearer of a long history and a distinguished heritage, nowadays the Artadi winery enjoys world recognition and has obtained numerous accolades and consistently high scores in the most prestigious wine contests and wine magazines around the globe.

The whole thing began in 1985, when a group of winemakers, the Cooperativa de Cosecheros Alaveses created the Artadi brand. The project was headed from the start by Juan Carlos López de Lacalle. Soon, the company expanded to Navarra, opening Bodegas y Viñedos Artazu, and in 1999, driven by the desire to explore the colourful world of Mediterranean wines, Artadi bought Bodegas y Viñedos El Sequé, in the region of Alicante.

Thirty years after its foundation and after a sustained effort, the three wineries that belong to the Artadi brand share an uncompromising commitment to quality, authenticity and environmental sustainability.

The wines of Bodega Artadi are produced following organic procedures and a highly respectful viticulture. The company uses no chemicals, pesticides or synthetic products, and always resorts to ancestral winemaking methods when possible. Driven by the love of the land and by a precise knowledge of the terroir, Artadi produces some of the best Tempranillo wines in the world.
