Bodega Elías Mora

Bodega Elías Mora

The wines by Bodega Elías Mora show a different side of Toro. This is Tradition 2.0.

Named after the previous owner of the estate now belonging to the winery, Bodega Elías Mora is nestled in the lowlands between the Duero and Hornijas rivers. The place is excellent in as much as it receives little rain, and thus the vineyards undergo a reasonable amount of hidric stress that naturally concentrates their flavours and aromas. The poor, clayey soils are also excellent for the grapevines, most of which, moreover, are ungrafted, as Toro was one of the very few areas not ravaged by the Phylloxera in the Iberian Peninsula.

Combining traditional techniques with a modern approach, the wines produced by Elías Mora highlight the qualities of the bold Tinta de Toro grape, native to the region. Conveniently smoothed by a judicious use of oak, the wines by Elías Mora winery are intense, age-worthy and above all drinkable wines.
