Bodegas Iglesias
The Bodegas Iglesias winery combines tradition and expertise in order to produce great "oloroso" wines.
In the midst of a privileged environment near the Doñana park, in the Andalusian province of Huelva, the Bodegas Iglesias winery, a family business with nearly 80 years of winemaking experience, is now being operated by the family's third generation of winemakers in the DO Condado de Huelva.
The facilities of the Bodegas Iglesias winery are located in an ancient XVIII century monastery. Recently refurbished and upgraded, they allow the winery to produce over one million liters of wine per harvest.
The Bodegas Iglesias winery crafts very smooth and relaxing wines from the native grape varieties of their zone, the Zalema. This winery also crafts traditional wines with oxidative ageing methods using the technique of "soleras" and “criaderas”, which is a system of ageing the wine through barrel rotations. The winery's most original product, though, is Par Vino Naranja, an "oloroso" wine that receives a long maceration in orange peels. The winery also produces Ricahembra, a product crafted from the same wine as Par Vino Naranja, although without the orange peel maceration process.
