Cavas Llopart

Since 1887 the Cavas Llopart winery has crafted elegant artesian cavas through a very cautious vinification process which this winey also utilizes in the production of their wines.

The Llopart winery had a rough start in the early years of wine production as they launched right as the phylloxera plague of the late 1800s. This plague had previously raged through eastern European vineyards and then it violently raged through the Penedés region of Spain.

The Llopart family was able to recover however, and their dreams prospered with the cultivation of new vineyards of better suited grapevines for the production of sparkling wines. The cavas by the Llopart winery have always been well-renowned for their complexity and expression. For this reason, the Llopart family became pioneers for producing a very high quality of cava in the region.

In the early 1950s the cava from Llopart del Penedés started to become very well renowned and this house of cava became a benchmark in the region for high quality cava and the Cava Llopart winery was considered to be one of the best qualities of cava in the region.  

All of the cavas by the Llopart winery are produced in an artisanal manner following the strict tradition of champennoise style of French champagne production.

The white and red wines by the Llopart winery have also become well known for their high quality. The latest generation of winemakers of the Llopart family have implemented the saying “Ex vite vita” to expression their passion for these wines, and this saying can be translate into English to mean “life loves grapevines.”
