Dominio Fournier

Founded in 1960, more than two decades before the DO Ribera del Duero was legally established in 1982, bodega Dominio Fournier, owned by Grupo González Byass, is situated in the province of Burgos.

Covering 50 hectares at an altitude over 800 metres above sea level, the vineyards of Dominio Fournier, divided into 22 parcels, stretch across a natural meander of the Duero river about 2 kilometres long. They are planted exclusively with Tinta del País vines, aged 5 to over 60 years. The soils are mostly composed of pebble stones, and climate is Continental with a Mediterranean influence.

A small-production winery, Dominio de Fournier has succeeded in combining the venerable traditions of DO Ribera del Duero with the latest technological advances in vineyard management and winemaking. 

Characterful, elegant and age-worthy, the wines from Dominio de Fournier merge the old with the new in a most appealing way.
